Apparently it was valentines day yesterday and according to Bokker I could have posted for the Vox hunt "Show us love." And for Qotd I could have posted "Who or What do I really love?" Obviously I didn't post about either of these things and posted about a video of cars in Paris, or Top Gear!!!! as Bokker put it in a most outraged tone.
NB for both the Vox Hunt and Qotd yesterday of course I would have posted about Bokker, but she knows that so I didn't. And i don't see me appearing on her blog in answer to those questions.............;-)
Although if Bok had watched the below video all the way through she would have seen it's conclusion is a most romantic meeting of the car driver and his lady on the steps of the Sacre Couer at dawn.........awwww, how romantic.

What is your stupid human trick?

I have a few, I can bend my thumb up onto the back of my hand so that it is below the knuckle when my hand is clenched in a fist.
I can also do this weird thing with my eyes.
What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?
Submitted by Megan.
On a recent trip to Japan, we (Bokker and I) ate lots of things which were weird to our European palette, but perhaps the oddest was a cold soup which had a cooked but also cold completely whole egg yoke floating in it. The yolk was runny but still encased so that it did not spill into the soup. So you either had the choice of breaking it and mixing cold egg yolk into the soup or to eat it whole and have a cold bursting egg yolk. Which was very weird. It was tasty (ish) though!
What was the highlight of your summer?
Submitted by ladym.vox.com.
The highlight of my summer definitely has to be the week long holiday in a villa in france with big group of friends. As already mentioned by Bokker. The japes, tomfoolery, excellent food, company and copius amounts of alcohol with a reasonable amount of sunshine made it an experience to remember. I am glad that I took plenty of photos to keep the memories vivid.
What is your favorite cover song?
Question submitted by Ray.
On the UK radio station Radio 1, a DJ called Jo Whiley who does the morning show often has bands peform live for the show they generally play their current single and a cover. My favourite of these was Arctic Monkeys (a band i don't like that much) covered Love Machine by Girls Aloud (a band I hate). The song is not that great but the accent (broad Sheffield) of the Arctic Monkeys singer and the fact that he starts laughing half way through just make it fantastic.
But for actual quality it would probably be Elbow's cover of Independent Woman.
What is your current computer desktop image? Let's see it!
At home it is a picture of Bokker, and at work it is the below picture of temple rooftops in Nikko, Japan.
But I was just thinking i should change it this morning when I turned my computer on.
Play any instrument or speak any language, which do you choose?
Question submitted by cruftbox.vox.com.
That is a tough one, I do already play two instruments to a reasonable standard - the flute and saxophone but I would like to be able to play guitar too.
But I think that I would prefer to be able to speak Japanese, I visted earlier this year with Bokker, for just two weeks and the hardest thing about being there was not being able to speak the language. It is such a fantastic country and I would love to live there and I think that having a career in the industry I work in (fashion) in Japan I would have to speak the language fluently.
So I wish I could wake up tomorrow morning fluent in Japanese and I would move there straight away!!! :)
Edit - reading other peoples responses to this question I think I misunderstood, being able to speak any language would be fantastic travel anywhere and be able to exist in that country that would be amazing!
What's the most extreme weather you've been in? A memorable storm? Heat wave? Or something else?
Aside from the storms and heatwaves, I think that the most extreme and in fact impressive weather I have experienced was in Scotland one new years day. It was the most fantastic haw frost with spiky icicles almost an inch long on every surface even the smallest blade of grass, and man was it cold.
